Bibb County deputies arrested a woman and charged her with aggravated assault Sunday night after she allegedly slashed her roommate with a kitchen knife.
According to a sheriff’s report, deputies arrested Janei Patrice Philon, 20, of the 5900 block of Ivey Drive, after she and her roommate, Tacosha Corbin, 19, got into an argument about 10:30 p.m. The argument then turned into a fight, the report stated, during which Philon allegedly grabbed a butcher knife and cut Corbin on her neck, face and finger.
Philon then ran out of the apartment toward another apartment building. Deputies later found Philon, who told them she grabbed a knife to defend herself, the report stated.
The cuts to Corbin were superficial.
