Bibb County deputies arrested a man for firing a gun into the air Wednesday afternoon, a report stated.
According to the report, deputies arrested Paul Scott Scholz, 55, of Forest Place and charged him with discharging a firearm in a public place and reckless conduct with a weapon.
The report stated that a witness heard several gunshots and pointed out Scholz to deputies.
Scholz admitted to deputies that he fired his weapon into the air, the report stated.
He told deputies that he wasn’t shooting at anyone, but “that he had just cleaned his weapon and wanted to shoot it in the air,” the report stated.
