Cordele police officers arrested a man who allegedly entered a residence with a shotgun and demanded money, according to a news release.
Police arrested Derrick Antonio Mason, 22, of First Avenue East in Cordele, and charged him with armed robbery and obstruction of an officer, the release said.
Mason entered a residence at Spring Lane in Cordele about 12:30 a.m. Friday and demanded money from the man living there, according to the release. Mason was observed running from the scene, and police tracked him to the C.C. Shearer Apartments, where officers captured Mason after a foot chase. Officers were able to recover the cash that was stolen.
Mason is being held in the Crisp County Detention Facility.
