When Macon police officers arrived, the witnesses said they didn’t see the crash but saw the two police vehicles with blue lights pass the wreck without stopping, according to a Macon police report.
Macon police later found that the cars were driven by two Medical Center officers. After contacting The Medical Center of Central Georgia, it was discovered that a chase occurred and the chase was called off prior to the crash, according to the report.
One of the witnesses, a man running on Walnut Street, said he heard a screeching sound and then saw the vehicle flip over. He then saw a woman get out of the vehicle and try to retrieve two children, according to the report.
