The man who allegedly robbed Bank of America, 2720 Riverside Drive, on Monday morning was arrested by Hapeville police, the Macon Police Department announced Tuesday.
Jason Phillip Hurt, originally from Macon, was arrested late Monday night or early Tuesday morning in Hapeville. Details of the arrest still are under investigation, according to a police news release.
Hurt, 33, faces multiple charges stemming from the bank robbery and an incident in the Atlanta area.
Hurt entered the bank at about 11:10 a.m. and handed a teller a letter that read “you have 35 seconds to give me $3,500 or you will die,” according to a police report released Tuesday.

Once the teller gave him the money, Hurt left in a black Volvo, according to the report.
Police Sgt. Zac Self said Hurt was identified by a CrimeStoppers tip.
