Authorities with the GBI and the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office on Friday arrested two more suspects in the case of two people found dead last month in a cotton field in Cordele. Jennifer McLeod, 23, was charged with felony murder and Elizabeth Davis, 48, was charged with concealing a death, according to a GBI news release.
Aug. 27 a badly burned body was found inside a smoldering sport utility vehicle in a field. The next day authorities discovered the body of Harold Reese Jr., 36, of Cordele in the woods near the field. The vehicle belonged to Reese. Authorities have yet to identify the burned body in the vehicle. Shortly after the crime was discovered authorities arrested two Cordele brothers, Corey Dennis, 26, and Amin Dennis, 27, and charged them with murder in the case.
Davis is the mother of the Dennis brothers. Friday, investigators searched her home and found new evidence.
