A Macon man was shot in the legs on Pansy Avenue at about 2:50 a.m. Saturday, according to the Macon police.
Eddie Pitts, of Pio Nono Avenue, went to a store near the corner of Pansy and Montpellier avenues for help, said Sgt. Melanie Hofmann.
Pitts was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia where he was treated and has been released, according to the police.
Officers say it appears as though Pitts was shot with a .40 caliber pistol, according to a police report.
