A 17-year-old Macon teen is being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on a $27,700 bond on a charge of aggravated assault.
Leonardo Balleza allegedly hit McGarrett Hodges, 39, in the back of the head with a brick Monday, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office report.
When a deputy reported to the scene he observed “a large bump and laceration in the back of (Hodges) head,” according to the report.
Hodges told the deputy that Balleza approached his son and told him to tell Hodges “that he wasn’t s---” After his son told him what Balleza said, Hodges walked out into his front yard but did not see Balleza.

After turning around, Balleza struck Hodges in the back of the head and then ran away, Hodges told the sheriff’s deputy.
Belleza had a different version of events. He claims Hodges ran outside and “began to yell and pump up a BB gun and shoot at him,” according to the report.
The deputy did not locate any marks on Balleza.
