Bibb deputies are looking for the robber who dropped from the ceiling of Mi Preferida grocery store at 3631 Pio Nono Ave. early Thursday morning and robbed the grocery store before running off toward Rice Mill Road in Macon.

Jailed Facebook commenter accused of writing ‘kill all white cops’ is freed

Derrick Hudson, 19, was released from the Bibb County jail on Tuesday after spending nearly two weeks behind bars on a charge of criminal solicitation to commit murder in connection with a comment on WGXA-TV’s Facebook page, which read “just kill all white cracker cops LLH.” Charges were dropped in Bibb County after the Bibb County district attorney determined that Houston County was the proper venue.

Dublin police are looking for 26-year-old Terry Lashun Carswell, who is wanted in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Aquez Ahikeem Brazil, who died early Tuesday after the shooting about midnight Monday near Brazil’s home on Dewey Street.

Prosecutor: Gun recovered after Wings Cafe shootout used in 2012 gang shooting

Derek Taylor, 30, was sentenced to 12 years in prison July 25, 2016, for his part in the 2014, shootout at Macon's Wings Cafe that left three men fatally injured. During the Bibb County Superior Court hearing, Prosecutor Sandra Matson said Taylor discharged a .357-caliber handgun in the parking lot that later was recovered by police and matched to a 2012 shooting involving the Gangster Disciples street gang and the man Gangster Disciples confronted inside Wings Cafe Dec. 12, 2014, sparking the fatal shootout.

Lawyer for man accused in romantic rival's death argues client acted in self defense

Defense attorney Franklin J. Hogue argued July 21, 2016, at a bond hearing for Frederick Lydell Johnson Jr., 29, asking that a bond be set. Johnson is charged with murder in the June 21, 2016, shooting death of 34-year-old Tyrell Jordan at Sandy Springs Apartments in Macon. Bibb County prosecutor Larissa Ollivierre argued that Johnson may run or cause a risk to the community if he's released on bond. She contended that Johnson "wanted the confrontation." The judge denied bond.
