Contractors installing a temporary concrete barrier wall will close eastbound Ga. 96 overnight next week.
Workers plan to begin Monday at 7 p.m., if weather permits.
The project spans from east of Interstate 75 near mile post 14 in Peach County to about a mile into Houston County, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Crews will stop work at 6 a.m. Tuesday and resume work 13 hours later, ending at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
If it rains Monday and Tuesday night, work will begin on Wednesday evening.
A pilot car and flaggers will guide drivers through the 2-mile construction site.
