WARNER ROBINS -- The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce at its annual meeting Tuesday inducted a new board chairman and announced the Small Business of the Year, along with several other awards.
In the meeting held at the Museum of Aviation, the chamber had the official transfer of board leadership from John Howell to Shaw Blackmon. Morgan Law was introduced as the chamber’s new president and chief executive officer.
The chamber also announced that the Charles K. Shaheen Small Business of Year Award goes to Brad and Gina Fink, owners of Sonny’s Real Pit Barbeque.

The Heide M. Hubbard Ambassador of the Year Award went to Rochelle Arias, general manager of Dress You Up Formals.
The Edward Bayer Employee of the Year Award went to Tyler Bryant of the JoAnna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation.
The Sherrill Stafford Good Government Service Award went to Maj. Gen. Robert McMahon, commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center. McMahon is in Europe, so his wife, Hope McMahon, accepted the award on his behalf.
The A.C. “Dick” Walden III Chamber Person of the Year Award went to Steve Williams, senior vice president of State Bank & Trust Co.
The Charlie J. Jones Memorial Award went to Robert Smith, former Centerville councilman.
The award is given to a citizen who has given “sustained and superior service to the community.”
