Police are asking for help in locating a woman who was last seen at her Byron residence July 30.
Latisha Styles, 26, is described as a black woman, standing about 5 feet 4 inches and weighing about 140 pounds, police said.
Byron police detective Melanie Bickford said foul play is not suspected now because Styles has gone missing before for a period of a couple of weeks. But she has not gone missing for this long, Bickford said.
Styles’ grandmother told police her granddaughter has a learning disability, Bickford said.
Byron police were notified Styles was missing after an inspection last week of her Housing Authority duplex apartment. Her personal items were left untouched in her apartment, Bickford said.
Also, family members told police that Styles has not contacted them or come to see her young son, a Byron police news release stated. Styles also has medical conditions and is believed to be off her medication.
In addition, Styles’ sister, who lives in Warner Robins, reported her missing to Warner Robins police on Sept. 1, Bickford said.
Anyone who may have seen her is asked to call Bickford at (478) 956-2880.
