A Warner Robins woman was seriously injured early Wednesday in a crash involving a pickup truck and motorcycle at the intersection of Houston Lake Road and Watson Boulevard, police said.
Darci Sandiff, 29, who was driving the 2002 Suzuki LS 650 motorcycle, was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Central Georgia after the 7:03 a.m. accident, said police Maj. John Wagner.
Sandiff was listed in stable condition Wednesday, said Janie Poulnott, hospital spokeswoman.
Susan Greene, 46, of Byron, the driver of the 1997 Chevrolet S-10 truck, was cited for failure to yield while turning, Wagner said. Greene was not hurt.
Greene was traveling south on Houston Lake Road when she attempted to make a left turn to head east onto Watson Boulevard and pulled out in front of Sandiff, who was traveling north on Houston Lake Road, Wagner said.Witnesses told police the traffic signal had just cycled from a solid green light to a yellow light for traffic traveling north and south on Houston Lake Road, according to a police news release.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact police officer David Hale at (478) 293-1037 or (478) 929-1170.
