Two women were seriously injured Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Peach County, officials said.
Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Elbert Slappy said the women were taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Central Georgia where both were in stable condition. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, he said.
Authorities have not yet been able to determine identities of the women, who are both Hispanic and had multiple identifications, Slappy said.
The pickup truck the women were in blew a tire, which caused the driver to lose control in the southbound lane of I-75, Slappy said.
The pickup rolled over twice in the crash, and both women were ejected from the vehicle, Slappy said. The pickup came to rest in the median on I-75 near mile marker 140, he said. The crash happened about 12:16 p.m.
