Civilian firearms training classes are being offered in June by Warner Robins police.
The classes will cover state law on private ownership and handgun carrying, safety, selection and maintenance, and the basics of firing a handgun, according to a Warner Robins police news release. Each class includes three mandatory sessions, the release stated.
The classes are offered free of charge.
Participants are required to bring their own pistol, 50 rounds of ammunition, as well as eye and ear protection, the release stated.

The women’s classes are at 6-8:30 p.m. June 7, 6-8:30 p.m. June 10 and 8 a.m.-noon June 12.The men’s classes are 6-8:30 p.m. June 21, 6-8:30 p.m. June 24 and 8 a.m.-noon June 26.To register, call Warner Robins police Capt. John Clay at (478) 293-1060.
