Starting today, the Warner Robins Animal Control shelter will be open every third Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for adoptions only, according to a Warner Robins police news release.
The new hours will provide for additional opportunities to view animals at the shelter for potential adoption, the release said.
Representatives of the Houston County Humane Society will also be on hand, the release said.
In addition, the “Happy Pet Mobile Vet,” a mobile veterinarian clinic, will be on site on the third Saturdays. The clinic offers special rates for shots and other vet services when dogs and cats are adopted from the shelter, the release stated. But only pets given a new home during the Saturday adoptions are eligible for the special rates, according to the release.
