Water was restored Wednesday morning to residents and commercial businesses near a water line break in Warner Robins.
City Utilities Director Montie Walters said the water was cut off from 5-7 a.m. near the break close to Corder Road and Woodland Drvie.
Walters said it’s hard to gauge how many residents may have been impacted. He noted that the businesses were closed.Saturated ground caused by rainfall likely caused the ground to shift, which in turn put pressure on the water pipe and caused it to break, Walters said.
The area where the crews worked was off the road and Walters said he did not believe there were any major traffic delays or problems early Wednesday. Crews were working to repair the line at Corder Road at Woodland Drive that broke at about 1:15 a.m., Sgt. Jim Adams of the Houston 911 Center said.
Motorists were advised to find an alternate route other than Corder Road between Watson Boulevard and Leverette Road in order to avoid any potential delays.
