A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday on the Georgia Department of Transportation’s proposed plans for improvements to Ga. 96 in Houston and Peach counties.
The meeting is from 4-7 p.m. at Perdue Elementary School, 115 Sutherlin St., in Warner Robins, according to state DOT news release.
Residents are invited to learn more about the project and to express thoughts and concerns, the release said.
“We are eager to hear the viewpoints and concerns of all area residents,” David Millen, DOT district engineer in Thomaston, said in the news release.
The proposed project involves improvements that would create additional capacity on Ga. 96, the release said.
The proposed project would create a continuous route by tying a relocated Ga. 96 alignment back in with existing Ga. 96 at Old Hawkinsville Road/Thompson Mill Road, the release said.
