A section of Feagin Mill Road closed after extensive flooding last week opened to through traffic Monday afternoon, Warner Robins police said.
Feagin Mill Road between Peach Blossom Road and Houston Lake Road was closed for a few days after the westbound lane partially collapsed during a deluge of rainfall and stormwater runoff last week, according to a police news release.
Meanwhile, a section of Ellis Road near Holt Road remained closed Monday after it gave way last week under a garbage truck, said Houston County sheriff’s Capt. Robert West.
The garbage truck driver, Brian Len Edwards, 29, of Warner Robins, remained hospitalized Monday at The Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was listed in stable condition, said hospital spokeswoman Janie Poulnott.

Houston County Director of Operations Tommy Stalnaker said Ellis Road is expected to reopen later in the week, while Flournoy Drive and Davis Drive may be closed for 30 days. Sections of the three roads were taken out by last week’s flooding, Stalnaker said.
Meanwhile, Peach County public works reported that Rolling Hill, Jake Sledge and Lilly Creek roads are expected to remain closed for a couple of months because of flood damage, according to Peach County 911.
