The Peach County Family Connections Collaborative will host “Breaking the Cycle, Beating the Odds,” a professional training seminar Oct. 9.
Johnnetta McSwain-Clay, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and neglect, will lead the event. The seminar will take place at Fort Valley State University’s Founders Hall from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. to promote awareness during Domestic Violence Month, according to a news release.
The training can be used for continuing education units for social workers and licensed professional counselors. The cost of the training is $65 for professionals, $30 for the public, $20 for law enforcement, $15 for students and $10 for FVSU faculty and staff. Lunch will be provided.
