WARNER ROBINS — Former Gov. Roy Barnes donated $2,500 to Warner Robins American Little League President Ken Hathaway on Tuesday outside city hall.
“I love Little League baseball,” Barnes said. “Hopefully, (the money will) make your times easier traveling.”Barnes has previously announced he will run for governor again in the 2010 election. The check was presented on behalf of his law firm, Barnes Law Group.
Hathaway said that the money will go to help defray expenses for the parents who are traveling to Williamsport, Pa., and Oregon.
“We don’t expect to cover it all,” said Hathaway.

He said that fundraisers were already in place as soon as the boys won Friday night. Teamsports in Warner Robins made a few hundred T-shirts, and Little League parents were selling shirts Tuesday night at Sonic on Ga. 96.
