The Warner Robins Area Chamber of Commerce is one of the best chambers in the nation, according to the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
The Warner Robins chamber was one of three finalists in its revenue category up for the annual Chamber of the Year award. That title ultimately went to the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce in Indiana, according to ACCE’s Web site. The Moore County Chamber of Commerce in North Carolina also was in the running.
Finalists demonstrated financial stability and membership growth, as well as having an impact in economic opportunities, education, transportation, health care and cultural vitality, according to ACCE.
Also, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Executives Association has presented the Warner Robins chamber with its 2009 Circle of Excellence Award, according to a news release. The award recognizes the chamber for its Middle Georgia Regional HobNob, which GCCEA considered the best chamber event in the state.
“The statewide and national recognition speaks volumes about the caliber of our programs, our volunteer leadership and our staff,” Chamber Chairman Rick Drury said in a news release. “The awards are a powerful reflection of the community-at-large.”
