WARNER ROBINS — Warner Robins firefighters are expected to start testing fire hydrants throughout the city next week.
The testing, which includes flushing the hydrants, may cause sediment in the water lines to be stirred up and residents are advised to allow the water to run for several minutes to allow the water to clear, Warner Robins fire Capt. James Franklin said.
Before washing a load of clothes after a fire hydrant has been flushed in the neighborhood, Franklin recommended running bath water for a few minutes until the water is clear.
He also suggested dipping a clear glass into the laundry water to make sure the water is clear before washing a load of clothes.
