A Warner Robins woman was in critical condition late Tuesday at The Medical Center of Central Georgia after a multi-vehicle accident, police said.
The victim was identified in a Warner Robins police news release as Marie Sullivan, 51, of Warner Robins. According to the release, Sullivan was traveling south on Elaine Drive when she pulled her 1998 Nissan Sentra into the path of another vehicle when attempting to cross Russell Parkway.
The other vehicle, a 1998 Dodge Durango, was being driven by John Bivens, 62, of Warner Robins. He received only minor injuries, the release said.
When the two vehicles crashed, the Nissan Sentra came to rest under a Houston County Board of Education school bus operated by Edith McCrary, 67, of Warner Robins, according to the release. The stopped school bus was waiting to turn east onto Russell Parkway from Elaine Drive. The driver, three students and a bus monitor were not injured, the release said.
The crash happened at 3:11 p.m.
