Full-time food truck open for business
A full-time food truck opened for business in Warner Robins on Tuesday.
Sofrito Fusion began serving lunch at International Square Shopping Center on Watson Boulevard. Jada Smith, who owns the truck with her husband, said they will operate there from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each Tuesday and Wednesday and will continue to operate at the Museum of Aviation’s Food Truck Friday.
She will be at various locations and events each Thursday and Saturday. People can find out where they will be by following their Facebook page, called Sofrito Fusion Food Truck.
The truck is the first in Houston County to operate full time as a food truck. Other trucks can only work special events and must get a separate permit. But because Smith has a commissary that meets health department guidelines, she can operate freely.
The truck serves American and South American foods, specializing in empanadas.
