“The Fifth Wave,” a post-apocalyptic movie being filmed in Macon, is looking for “mercenary type” extras.
According to a casting call posted to the Macon Film Commission’s Facebook page, the movie is seeking men and women ages 25 to 55 with weapons skills and training to be part of a small featured group of mercenaries. The movie’s story takes place after aliens have invaded the planet.
Extras will be booked for three days -- Thursday, Friday and Saturday -- beginning in the late afternoon each day and working until dawn. The pay rate is $100 for eight hours, and overtime will be paid after that. Those who do not live locally will be paid an extra $20 for gasoline.
Those interested should email email@example.com and put “weapon trained for Macon” in the subject line. Two current photos should be included -- one from the shoulders up and one from the knees up. Hair color and length should be visible in at least one photo, as well as any facial hair for men. Men can be scruffy and have longer hair, but that is not mandatory.
“A photo of you looking the part or a more serious photo without a smile is appreciated,” the casting call states. “It doesn’t have to look mean but just not a big smile.”
Also include in the email your first and last name, phone number (including area code), email address, city and state where you live, age, height and weight. The following clothing sizes should also be included: men -- jacket/coat, collar, sleeve, waist, inseam, shoe; women -- dress size, shirt, pants, waist, shoe.
Finally, list military or law enforcement experience or any weapons training or related skills you have.
Those interested must not have worked on “The Fifth Wave” before unless you were not seen on camera or were wearing a mask.
