Georgia’s hunting regulations for the next two years will be the focus of a public meeting in Thomaston Jan. 5.
The Wildlife Resource Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources will hold the meeting at 7 p.m. in room B132 at Southern Crescent Technical College on Ga. 19 South in Thomaston.
The division is considering establishing a statewide deer season that will eliminate separate seasons now in place for the northern and southern parts of the state. Deer bag limits and buck-only days are also items to be discussed.
Seven other public meetings will be held across the state through Jan. 8.
