Rain contributed to the death of a Forsyth man on Tuesday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Just after 9 a.m., 20-year-old Taylor Lewis Dell lost control of his 1997 Lexus sedan while driving north on Ga. 42 near Dyas School Road and went off the roadway.
According to witnesses, he overcorrected, and the vehicle spun several times. It then hit a tree on the driver’s side.
No other vehicles were involved.
Dell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according the report.
Coroner Joey Proctor said Dell was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
