Jessica Reese figured it was a normal errand when Nicole Fogle, the Family Promise director, stopped at Kitchen’s Towing on Friday on the way back from picking her up at work.
She didn’t realize the errand was for her until W.L. Kitchens, owner of the shop, handed her some keys.
A dark green 1991 Ford Explorer with a pink Browning Arms Co. logo on the rear window sat at the edge of the parking lot off Watson Boulevard.
“There’s enough room for everybody!” Reese shouted with teary eyes. “Thank y’all so much!”
Never miss a local story.
Reese and her five children moved to the Warner Robins 18 months ago from Maryland to get away from an abusive domestic situation. The car Kitchens donated will allow Reese to take her children to and from school. Fogle said a lot of people have contacted the program wanting to help Reese, and about $1,000 in cash was donated.
