Everyone will now be able to get in free at the Museum of Arts and Sciences on the first Saturday of each month.
The Medcen Community Health Foundation joined with the museum to sponsor scavenger hunts, nature walks and hands-on activities between 1 and 5 p.m. on the first Saturdays through June 2015.
This week, a space and robotics theme will feature The Medical Center of Central Georgia’s Mazor Robotics Renaissance Guidance System for spinal patients.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Museum of Arts and Sciences to provide the community with first Saturdays,” Medcen interim CEO Dottie Houser said in a news release. “This is a wonderful educational opportunity that Central Georgians should take advantage of.”
The first Saturday admission waiver replaces the free first Sunday program that ran through June.
