Winds expected to gust to 30 mph prompt a wind advisory from noon until 5 p.m. Saturday in Middle Georgia.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory for areas generally south of a line from Douglasville to Gainesville.
Sustained winds of 15-20 mph today, coupled with low fuel moisture, will also create high fire danger conditions across northern and central parts of the state.
A cold front cutting across north Georgia this afternoon could trigger a light dusting of snow in the higher elevations of northeast Georgia.
More overnight lows in the teens and 20s are expected next week.
