A tractor trailer loaded with sugar wrecked on westbound Interstate 16 which shut down a stretch of the highway in Bibb County for about three hours Tuesday morning.
The Macon-Bibb Fire Department was called for a diesel spill from the truck that went off the road inside the Macon city limits.
Firefighters on the scene said the small spill was mostly off the road and happened when they were pulling the truck out of the ditch.
Crews indicated it could be easily contained by loading sand on top of it.

No sugar was spilled from the truck and no one was hurt, according to Macon E-911 dispatchers.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office closed the entrance ramp at Ocmulgee East Boulevard due to the accident aftermath which blocked all lanes coming into the city.
