Lane closures on Middle Georgia roads might already be affecting traffic in four counties.
Guardrail repairs will force the closure of Interstate 75 lanes between Bibb County’s Riverside Drive at Exit 171 and Monroe County’s Harold Clarke Parkway at Exit 185. That work is slated for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily through Friday. Northbound and southbound lanes will be closed as work progresses, in stretches of one mile or less.
Similar lane closures are slated for Interstate 16, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily through Thursday. That work will run from Bibb County’s Exit 2 at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Twiggs County’s Exit 12 at Sgoda Road.
Separately, crews will work on bridges in Houston County at Ga. 26 near Elko Road and at the Ga. 247 Spur near Saddle Creek Road.
The Ga. 26 work is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The Ga. 247 Spur work is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
