Two advocates for a scaled-down Forest Hill Road expansion made more pleas to the Bibb County Commission on Tuesday.
Susan Martin and Lindsay Holliday said it isn’t too late to change the plans for the road to incorporate modern traffic designs and more ideas from residents.
“Gentlemen, we’ve got to work together on this,” Holliday said, as Commissioner Bert Bivins chuckled to himself and shook his head.
Efforts to mediate the road dispute crumbled years ago, and a transportation planning group said it was too late to change any designs without delaying the project. Right-of-way acquisition could be completed next month, with bids being taken in June for a three-lane expansion of Forest Hill Road between Wimbish Road and Northside Drive.
