Secretary of State Brian Kemp has thrown out modern surveyor Terry Scarborough’s Bibb-Monroe county border.
“Bibb County has met its burden of proof” to get the survey thrown out, Kemp said.
Monroe County backed the survey, which was meant to re-establish a line established in 1822 and tweaked in 1877.
Kemp’s decision also turns away six years of surveys and legal wrangling, but it doesn’t mean it’s over.

“The dispute has not been settled,” Kemp said.
