A Macon man was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after accidentally shooting his left index finger, according to a police report.
According to the report, the victim, Joel Thompson, took a .380-caliber pistol to Howard’s Pawn Shop, 3171 Mercer University Drive.
While showing the pistol to an employee, Thompson ejected the magazine but forgot to clear the chamber, the report stated. He pulled the trigger, and the round struck his left index finger.
