A Macon police officer has resigned after reporting to work with alcohol in his system.
Sgt. John Robinson was involved in a wreck in a parking lot while reporting to work May 6, said police Maj. Robert Grabowski.
He tested positive for alcohol, but the department would not release information about the alcohol level.
The department has a zero tolerance policy for alcohol for officers on the job, Grabowski said.
Never miss a local story.
He said Robinson resigned from his job with the department.
