A Scrooge by the name of Mother Nature stole the Eastman Christmas parade, but organizers hope to try again Saturday.
If the weather cooperates, the Lions Club event will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday with all the local high school and middle school bands in attendance.
Rain canceled the parade that was originally scheduled for this past Saturday.
This year’s grand marshal is Paul Beebe, who will be riding in the front of the parade for the first time in decades.
Beebe sat in for Santa Claus in prior years, but the Lions Club decided to honor his years of service as the Jolly Old Elf.
Beebe’s hand-picked successor will be bringing up the rear of the parade.
