Riverside United Methodist Church’s second Day of Service is coming up, and the church welcomes volunteers to help with community projects.
The Day of Service will be Oct. 10, beginning at 8 a.m. Five service projects are planned for the day:
• Helping Rebuilding Together make home repairs for a disabled homeowner;• Working at Macon Outreach to help with a ministry to the homeless and poor;• Working on costumes for the church’s annual Drive-Thru Nativity;• Packing bags of school supplies to send to children in developing countries;• A grounds cleanup project at the church for children ages 5 and up.
Never miss a local story.
Anyone who would like to volunteer for one of the projects can call the church at (478) 746-9688 to register. Volunteers will meet at Riverside Methodist at 8 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served, and a nursery for children 4 and younger will be provided.
