Some new things are growing in Ingleside Village.
A garden shop called Ups-A-Daisy has moved into the former Society Gardener spot at 2389-B Ingleside Ave.
The shop sells potted plants and flowers, concrete statues and fountains, Adirondack chairs, flags, “bottle trees,” iron works and other garden-related items, said Brenda Butler, who owns the business with Marty Young.
Butler and Young are neighbors, and they decided to open the garden store after realizing the Society Gardener had closed, she said. Butler is retired from the state government and Young works full time during the week at Geico and at the shop on weekends.
“We’ve had a good bit of traffic,” Butler said. “Everyone seems to be excited something is here again.”
Ups-A-Daisy is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and is closed Sunday and Monday.
