Capital City Bank announced that James Cassidy Jr., is the newest member of its Bibb County community board of directors. Cassidy is the owner of Cassidy Dental Associates in Macon, and has been in private practice since 1983.
Cassidy served as past president of the Bibb County Dental Society, GADPAC chairman of the Georgia Dental Association and district president for the American College of Dentists. He is a part-time faculty member at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry.
Georgia Farm Bureau re-elects two to board
James Emory Tate, of Denton, was recently re-elected to a two-year term representing the Georgia Farm Bureau’s 6th District on the organization’s state board of directors. James Malone, of Laurens County, also serves as a director for the district, which comprises Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Dodge, Jones, Laurens and Twiggs counties.

Jim Ham, of Monroe County, was re-elected to represent the 5th District, which comprises Crawford, Jasper, Lamar, Monroe and Peach counties.
Ralph Adamson, of Lamar County, also serves as a director for the district.
Myers wins Kiwanis award
The Perry Kiwanis Club awarded Marty Myers the 2014 Citizen of the Year Award.
This award has been given since the club was formed in 1938. Myers owns the Antique Theatre, the Coffee Cup on Carroll, Forest Hill Park, Myers Construction Co., Antiques on Carroll Street, Strong Backs & A Truck, CLS Insulators, Myers City Florist, City Supply, Red Barn Vineyards and Cherokee Pines Golf & Fitness Club.
