Helms College, the post-secondary culinary arts and hospitality education institution operated by Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the Central Savannah River Area, has been reaccredited.
The three-year reaccreditation by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training comes after an extensive review and multiple site visits to Augusta and Macon campuses of Helms College, according to a news release.
The reaccreditation ensures students will continue to have access to federal Title IV funding, including Pell grants and student loans.
“Helms College students will continue to benefit from high-quality educational programs that are creating the next generation of leaders in culinary arts and the hospitality industry, with access to high-demand fields that provide good-paying careers in our community,” Goodwill President Jim Stiff said in the release.
