Yabu Sushi + has opened at 496 Second St. in downtown Macon, serving up sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, signature cocktails and fusion tapas.
The Japanese-based tapas, which are small appetizer plates, are influenced by French, Italian and Chinese cuisines, said head chef Myko Estacio.
The new eatery, above Ginger Stir Fry & Grill, is owned by Cesare Mammarella’s HotPlates Restaurant Group and also has a lounge area. Mammarella said the restaurant has about 10 employees.
The restaurant’s hours are Tuesday-Thursday from 5-10 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 5-11 p.m. The lounge is open Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m.
