Patrick Filholm, owner
All Secure Inc., 107 Independence Drive, Suite C, Warner Robins; 953-3172.
How long have you been in business?: “I’ve been in business in Warner Robins for 20 years. I’m a second-generation locksmith. My father kind of did it as a hobby, but he taught all his boys -- I have three brothers -- how to be locksmiths also.”
Filholm is a certified master locksmith awarded by the Associated Locksmiths of America.
What do you like best about your job?: “It’s a challenge every day, running into things that you don’t always see. I can work on 2013 cars. ... (then) two weeks ago, I opened a safe that was from 1863. I probably won’t do another one of those again in a long time. ... There’s nothing in the books I have (about safes that old). You just take the knowledge you’ve learned over the years and apply it to what’s in front of you.”
What is your specialty?: “I specialize in safes -- opening, repairing and selling them. We do an awful lot of automotive work, transponder keys and making keys and key remotes.”
Not only does Filholm do work at the shop, but he also travels within about a 60-mile radius of Warner Robins, he said.
Most of his business is commercial, including residential work for contractors.
What are your future plans?: “I think I will just continue to grow it. ... I want to keep growing the business and getting better and more knowledgeable all the time.”
