Macon-based Central Georgia Home Care Services has merged with North Carolina-based Advanced Home Care.
Central Georgia Home Care has provided home infusion, specialty pharmacy, home medical equipment and services for several years in a 20 county region of Middle Georgia, according to a news release.
Through this merger, Central Georgia Health System, the parent company of Central Georgia Home Care, will join 13 other health systems and hospitals as a member of Advanced Home Care.
The integration of both companies will take place over the next few weeks, the release stated.
“All patients will continue to receive the same high quality care and service which they have come to expect,” the release stated.
Advanced Home Care will continue to operate the existing Macon location. The company also has locations in Norcross and Marietta.
Advanced Home Care is a not-for-profit home health care agency that provides respiratory therapy, nutrition services, infusion therapy, skilled nursing and medical equipment to patients in their homes.
