Anyone looking to buy their first home may want to attend a one-day class next month for information.
HomeFirst, a federally approved housing counseling agency, will hold the class 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Oct. 1 at the Terminal Station, 200 Cherry St., Suite 300, in Macon, according to a news release.
Attendees will learn about the extended homebuyers’ tax credit for first-time buyers and existing homeowners. The class also will cover down payment assistance and special mortgage financing.
Seating is limited and everyone must pre-register, the release stated. The cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple, and it must be paid by Sept. 23.Call 803-2373 to register or for more information.
