Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Middle Georgia and GMAC Mortgage will host free counseling sessions next week for GMAC customers who are delinquent on their mortgages.
The sessions will be held May 7 and 8 at the main CCCS office at 901 Washington Ave. GMAC customers can talk individually with GMAC loss-mitigation specialists and certified housing specialists from the counseling service about options in saving their homes from foreclosure, according to a news release about the event.
Appointments are available by calling (478) 745-6197 or (800) 446-7123.
Consumer Credit Counseling Service recently received a $300,000 grant to assist Middle Georgia homeowners who are behind on their mortgage payments. The initiative was funded by United Way of Central Georgia and the Peyton Anderson Foundation.
