A Dublin industrial park will get a shot in the arm from state government. A nearly $489,000 grant to build a road there was announced Wednesday.
The Dublin-Laurens County Development Authority will use the money to build a truck entrance and road at the 255-acre park, located at Ga. 257 and Interstate 16. The park has other utilities in place, and this will help local leaders show the park to potential tenants, according to a news release from the governor’s office, which announced the OneGeorgia Authority grant.
Work on the road probably will start in about two months, development authority Vice President Cal Wray said. The authority has already spent more than $3 million on the park, he said.
