Bibb County sheriff’s investigators are looking into an armed robbery that took place early Sunday morning at the Walthall Chevron gas station, 4900 Ocmulgee East Blvd., according to a news release.
A man armed with a shotgun entered the business at about 1 a.m. and demanded money from the store clerk after firing into the ceiling. The clerk gave the gunman an undisclosed sum of cash. As the gunman exited the store, he fired a second shot at a candy rack. The clerk was grazed by the debris, and EMTs treated her at the scene.
The gunman left the scene in a blue, ’90s model extended cab Toyota Tacoma with a silver or chrome stripe on the side and chrome wheels.
