The 16-story, 297-room Ramada Plaza at 108 First St. in Macon is up for sale — again.
The hotel, which closed in February 2011 due to a failing boiler system and aging pipes, was sold in August for $2.5 million, but never reopened.
The property was sold in 2007 for $4.2 million, and the listed price now is $4.9 million.
The nearly 200,000-square-foot hotel was built in 1969 and sits on 2.2 acres.
Never miss a local story.
When it was named Ramada Plaza in November 2006, it was the fifth name for the hotel since it was built. Prior to becoming a Ramada Plaza, the hotel held the name Crowne Plaza for 10 years.
